Why I like this movie:
a) it has waves!
b) it has surfers (and girl ones too - bonus points)!
c) the photography of the power of the ocean
d) the soundtrack
e) the extra features
My big fave thing about this movie is the awesome footage of the natural untamed elemental power of a huge wave playing and toying with these little human beings struggling to crawl all over and into it, then swatting dozens of them away with a simple unstoppable swat of its hand. Its displayed repeatedly here in an almost epic style. Almost like the closing of the Red Sea in the original Ten Commandments - only without special effects!
Several bonus features containing segments of surf footage rapidly cut to approriate tracks is another plus.
